The building “Südspitze” stands for an ecological and sustainable construction method, resource-saving and future-oriented with a high comfort for the later users. Responsible resource extraction, flexibility and convertibility, thermo-acoustic comfort as well as high safety and accessibility are just some of the cornerstones of this way of building. The ecological concept for the project includes the use of Cobiax void former technology, which is in line with an ecological and sustainable way of building and living.
The 5-story building is the first in Germany to incorporate Cobiax CLS. The CLS product line has only recently received regulatory approval. This meant that nothing stood in the way of using the latest Cobiax development in the project planned by Piotrowski Architects. The floor slabs, equipped with Bamtec roll reinforcement, are 28 cm thick. Thanks to the CLS-160 installation elements, the construction is now much lighter than in solid design. The shell construction is scheduled to be completed by summer 2022.
